Description

The implementation and submission of the Honours project.

Prerequisite Rule

Students must pass 1 units from ASH5101

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Communicate research workand outcomes achieved to peers through a written report/thesis.
  2. Demonstrate the application of sound mathematics and statistics principles/research methods and the systematic application of appropriate tools and technologies to a substantive project task.
  3. Evaluate the outcomes of a substantive research project and make recommendations on the basis of that evaluation.
  4. Perform appropriate modelling and analysis to achieve the goals set for a substantive project task.

Unit Content

  1. The implementation of the Honours project, as proposed in ASH5101 Honours Thesis Preparation 1.
  2. The preparation and submission of the Honours project.
  3. The presentation of a seminar on the Honours project.
  4. The structure of an Honours project submission.

Additional Learning Experience Information

In these units the student will implement and prepare for submission of the project proposed in ASH5101 Honours Thesis Preparation 1. The implementation will be closely supervised by the appointed project supervisor. The preparation of the submission will be done with the support of the project supervisor, and with instruction from the unit co-ordinator. It is expected that at least one draft submission will be made.
