Description

Within this unit the students will conduct the project which was developed in MHP6100. Following successful implementation of the project, students will analyse the findings and illustrate the implications and application of these findings to the clinical setting in which they are situated. Project findings and potential application to practice will be disseminated within the students' workplace setting.

Students must pass 1 unit from MHP6100

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Analyse resultant data.
  2. Construct a sustainable project that is scientifically and ethically sound.
  3. Devise strategies to promote effective working with the appropriate teams at the project site.
  4. Disseminate findings through professional forums within the clinical setting.
  5. Implement the project in the clinical practice setting.
  6. Produce a project report.
  7. Synthesise findings and demonstrate potential contribution to practice.

  1. Data analysis and interpretation.
  2. Discussion of findings, identification of limitations and implications to practice.
  3. Presentation skills.
  4. Report construction.
  5. Scientific and ethical rigour in project activities.
  6. Strategies for achieving project objectives within specified timelines.

Additional Learning Experience Information

Guided by a nominated supervisor, students will be responsible for activities related to the implementation of their project. Students will take responsibility for their own learning through independent study, discussion with relevant people, and regular contact with their supervisor.
