This unit will enable students to investigate a specific and relevant marketing research topic. The student will select the topic through negotiation with the supervisor. The topic may be applied within an organisation of their choice. The student will then conduct a research investigation including undertaking a literature review, collecting and analysing data and preparing a research report. It enables students to select a topic of interest and relevance and to investigate this more deeply. Students can prepare for their research unit through studying MKT6310 Marketing Research. This unit will provide them with the necessary understanding and skills of the research process to undertake their project within the time span of the semester.
Series of scheduled meetings between student and supervisor.
On completion of this unit students should be able to:
Students will attend a series of scheduled meetings with the supervisor. Students should negotiate a research topic and context with the supervisor and present a proposal for approval. Students will then undertake the research and prepare a report. The report will be assessed on a range of criteria including communication skills, critical analysis skills, research skills and industry relevance.
