Description

In this unit, students will be guided through the process of identifying, undertaking and completing a research project.

Prerequisite Rule

Students must pass 1 unit in MMS5106, HBP5115

Equivalent Rule

Unit was previously coded HBP5113

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Apply self-management skills to successfully implement a research project.
  2. Implement medical and health science research in collaboration with a research team.
  3. Critically analyse results of a research project to obtain clear outcomes, implications and context for further research.

Unit Content

  1. Implementation of a project proposal.
  2. Analysis and evaluation of the results of a project.
  3. Preparation and submission of a project report.

Learning Experience

Students will attend on campus classes as well as engage in learning activities through ECU Blackboard.

Additional Learning Experience Information

Under the close supervision of the supervisor the student will carry out the project, analyse and evaluate the results, prepare and submit the project report.
