Description

This unit will support students to develop their investigative and inquiry skills by planning, implementing and managing a small independent research project. Students work in this Unit will be driven by their commitment to improving health outcomes for their consumer population. They will identify a research problem and conduct an inquiry project to investigate the dimensions of this problem. Students will draw upon their work in the unit Evidence Based Practice and Research Design and select one of two options to either operationalize a clinical pilot study or conduct an integrative review. Both options report the outcomes of the project with recommendations for clinical practice or further research. Students will be tutored in the scientific process, ethical conduct incorporating cultural safety imperatives and good clinical practice in research.
