Description

In this unit students will develop instrumental skills through ensemble rehearsals and public performances. Students will demonstrate the acquisition of basic skills in ensemble playing. Each student will also integrate their individual programme of study that extends into their ensemble performance.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Apply ensemble performance strategies to level 2 repertoire.
  2. Demonstrate the skills of memorising and interpreting the level 2 Core repertoire.
  3. Evaluate ensemble performances.
  4. Utilise aural, theoretical and performance skills in performing level 2 repertoire.

  2. Ensemble playing skills.
  3. Project organisation and collaborative learning methods.
  4. Rehearsal conventions and instrumental roles.
  5. Rehearsal techniques.
