Description

In this unit students demonstrate the acquisition of intermediate performance skills through focused studies specific to their chosen instrument. Students will implement the acquisition of focused skills in a workshop and masterclass environment. Each student will also apply their individual programme of study that extends the depth and breadth of their studies.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Apply intermediate-level musical skills to a range of projects.
  2. Demonstrate the acquisition of intermediate-level performance skills.
  3. Implement acquired skills within a variety of musical setting.
  4. Understand the role of their performance in different musical environments.

Unit Content

  1. Music interpretational skills.
  2. Project organisation and collaborative learning methods.
  3. Rehearsal, practice and performance techniques.
  4. Student learning through mentoring programme.
