Description

In this unit students will develop intermediate-level instrumental skills through ensemble rehearsals and public performances. Students will work towards the acquisition of intermediate skills in ensemble playing. Each student will also integrate their individual programme of study that extends into their ensemble performance.

Students must pass 1 units from MUS1428

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Apply intermediate-level musical skills to a range of repertoire.
  2. Critically evaluate musical performances.
  3. Demonstrate acceptable progress towards memorising and interpreting the level 2 Core repertoire.
  4. Perform effectively in an ensemble.

  1. Assigned public performance during the semester.
  2. Ensemble playing skills.
  3. Project organisation and collaborative learning methods.
  4. Rehearsal conventions and instrumental roles.
  5. Rehearsal techniques.
