Description

Instrumental workshops further develop stylistic abilities and of the students on their chosen instruments. Specialist projects will also be offered during project weeks that will enable students to choose from a selection of diverse topics related to their studies.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate general stylistic aspects of their chosen instrument.
  2. Further develop upon skills relevant to furthering their careers.
  3. Incorporate stylistic techniques used by the prominent jazz figures on their chosen instrument.

Unit Content

  1. Advanced instrumental technical processes related to stylistic applications.
  2. Incorporating stylistic traits of prominent jazz figures.
  3. Performance and career related optional topics.

Learning Experience

Students will attend on campus classes as well as engage in learning activities through ECU Blackboard.
