Description

In this unit students will demonstrate the implementation advanced skills specific to large ensemble through public performances. Students will apply and demonstrate these advanced skills in sight-reading. Each student will also apply their individual programme of study that extends the depth and breadth of their studies.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Apply advanced musical skills to a range of projects.
  2. Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret more complex repertoire.
  3. Implement and demonstrate an advanced level of progress in ensembles skills.
  4. Perform to an advanced level in a large ensemble.

Unit Content

  1. Advanced ensemble performance and interpretational skills.
  2. Advanced music reading skills.
  3. Advanced rehearsal techniques.
  4. Assigned public performances during the semester.
  5. Project organisation and collaborative learning methods.
