This unit will enable students to understand their future role as a Registered Nurse within the Australian health care system both in its current state; and as it adjusts to the changing Australian demographic. In order to achieve this, students will need to understand the role of the Registered Nurse as bound by professional regulation, and how this relates to other nursing and health professional roles. This unit will introduce the need to work within interprofessional teams in order to provide effective and efficient services in a manner that is responsive to the changing health care needs of the Australian population.
Only students studying courses C33, Y61, Y76, Y19 or Y79 can enrol in this unit.
