In this unit the notions of person and family-centred care and the role of the nurse as an interdisciplinary team member in the provision of individualised care are explored. To achieve this, opportunities are provided for students to explore the role of nurses in promoting healing and healthy environments for patients and their families. Key concepts to be addressed include assessment and management of patient function and risk with consideration of developmental stage, culture and promotion of patient comfort.
Students must pass two units NCS1101 and NCS1102
