The broad intent of this unit is to support students to develop self-direction and competence in a new area of practice. Students will consider reflective practice, nursing governance, scopes of practice and professional development. Having developed an understanding of assessing and addressing the requirements of a new practice area, students will apply these concepts within this specialised field.
Students must pass NPP2201.
Only students studying courses C33, Y61, Y76, Y19 or Y79 can enrol in this unit.

On completion of this unit students should be able to:
Learning materials are delivered in blended mode using Interactive Learning Activities (ILA's) and online communication tools. Students participate in group discussion and learning activities, reflective practices and self assessment tools are used to prepare for their future professional career. Presentation skills are practiced as part of professional skills development.
