This final practice unit facilitates students to demonstrate nursing knowledge and skills learned throughout the course. The focus of the unit is on teamwork, prioritisation, communication and clinical leadership. Students will incorporate critical thinking and clinical reasoning in their decision-making and delivery of care to patients. Students will work in various health facilities to demonstrate professionalism and competency of a stage six student in the workplace setting. This is a designated unit, which means only one attempt is allowed. Unless there are exceptional circumstances, this unit must be undertaken in the final semester of studies.
Students must pass 2 units from NPP3101 or NPU3505 and NSC2203 or NUM2409
Only students studying courses C33, Y61 or Y76 can enrol in this unit.

Students please note: The marks and grades received by students on assessments may be subject to further moderation. All marks and grades are to be considered provisional until endorsed by the relevant School Progression Panel.
Due to the professional competency skill development associated with this Unit, student attendance/participation within listed in-class activities and/or online activities including discussion boards is compulsory. Students failing to meet participation standards as outlined in the unit information may be awarded an I Grade (Fail - incomplete). Students who are unable to meet this requirement for medical or other reasons must seek the approval of the unit coordinator.

This means that assessment tasks must be completed individually (unless it is an authorised group assessment task) and any sources used must be referenced.
Breaches of academic integrity can include:
Copying the words, ideas or creative works of other people or generative artificial intelligence tools, without referencing in accordance with stated University requirements. Students need to seek approval from the Unit Coordinator within the first week of study if they intend to use some of their previous work in an assessment task (self-plagiarism).
Working with other students and submitting the same or substantially similar work or portions of work when an individual submission was required. This includes students knowingly providing others with copies of their own work to use in the same or similar assessment task(s).
Organising a friend, a family member, another student or an external person or organisation (e.g. through an online website) to complete or substantially edit or refine part or all of an assessment task(s) on their behalf.
Using or having access to unauthorised materials in an exam or test.
Serious outcomes may be imposed if a student is found to have committed one of these breaches, up to and including expulsion from the University for repeated or serious acts.
