Description

This unit focuses on the development of analytical and critical thinking skills which have direct relevance to evaluating health care practices. Students will explore health economics and quality improvement strategies to enable them to critically evaluate an area of clinical practice and identify recommendations for change.

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Discuss the influence of various governance structures on health care
  2. Analyse the implications of health economics on health care provision
  3. Analyse contemporary strategies for measuring health care
  4. Critically evaluate an area of clinical practice and identify recommendations for change
  5. Produce an evidence based report on an area of their clinical practice
