Description

This unit involves the identification of an appropriate research project on an aspect of occupational therapy practice, the development of a proposal and the development of the skills required to undertake the project.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Critically review research evidence related to the project.
  2. Demonstrate proficiency in the skills needed to conduct a research project.
  3. Prepare a research proposal.

  1. Critically reviewing the relevant research evidence.
  2. Introduction to the scope of an honours project.
  3. Preparation of a research proposal.
  4. Project planning and management.

Additional Learning Experience Information

Seminars, small group activities, problem solving, guest speakers, e-learning activities, student feedback, critical reviews, student presentations and supervision.
