Description

This unit builds on the material covered in Technical Theatre 1. Practical instruction in technical theatre is provided, with particular emphasis understanding the physical stage and its equipment, and on applying the skills learned in a production.

Prerequisite Rule

Students must pass 1 unit from PAM1002

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate a range of general theatrical knowledge.
  2. Demonstrate a working knowledge of the technical theatre as related to stage performance, and apply these skills to a practical performance.
  3. Demonstrate knowledge of the types of stages and the range of equipment.
  4. Use the terminology of the stage.

Unit Content

  1. This unit builds on the material covered in Technical Theatre 1, with the provision of extended practical instruction. Particular emphasis is applied to understanding the physical stage and its equipment, and the skills learnt in a practical production.
