This unit contributes to the knowledge and skill framework of paramedics to work independently or in conjunction with other health professionals in the provision of healthcare in the pre-hospital environment. Emphasis will be placed on understanding and conducting diagnostic techniques which support physical assessment in a pre-hospital setting. The aim of this unit is to develop skills that enable students to implement pre-hospital emergency monitoring.
Off-campus students are advised that this unit has a compulsory workshop held at the Joondalup campus. The theory modules for this unit may however be studied online.
