Description

In this unit, students conduct a research project and then present a report under the supervision of their academic supervisor. The report is written up by the candidate in research thesis, or literature review and research project format and, submitted for examination by assessors. The unit includes a compulsory one day intensive residential school where students will further their understanding of thesis writing and publication.

Students must pass 1 units from PSY4160, PSY5189

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Implement a research project, demonstrating a thorough understanding of relevant research methodology and analysis techniques.
  2. Prepare a research thesis or literature review and research paper.
  3. Present the thesis for examination by assessors.

Students will engage in learning experiences through ECU Blackboard as well as additional ECU learning technologies.

Additional Learning Experience Information

Online delivery supported by discussion groups, study modules and prescribed texts with a compulsory on-campus residential school (Joondalup campus).
