This unit involves background research leading to the proposal for a Physics Honours project. The unit includes the identification of an appropriate research project, the development of a proposal, the development and presentation of a research seminar, the acquisition of the intellectual and practical skills required to undertake the project, and the submission of a research proposal report.
On completion of this unit students should be able to:
Students will attend on campus classes as well as engage in learning activities through ECU Blackboard.

The unit will be based on individual consultations by the student with the supervisor and the Honours Coordinator, and guided self-study by the student.
