Description

This unit involves the pre-production, production and post-production of a web-series, a serialised dramatic format that differs from the short film and documentary form, and entails an understanding of episodic story telling styles, devices and structure. Students will research the web-series format and apply this to a multi-episode format. Students may take on up to two of the following roles: producer, writer, director, editor, cinematographer, sound recordist or production designer. They will be required to practice team work and collaboration on the production and post-production of the series. Students will apply the knowledge and experience gained in other production units to their role as members of the production team for the series. At the conclusion of the project, they will synthesize their experience in a written report and evaluate their own performance and the performance of their peers in relation to their contribution to the completed project.
