Historically, drawing is a method of inquiry within art and science that has been employed to translate observations, concepts and ideas into a tangible, communicable form. Drawing is trans-disciplinary in nature and an essential process within most creative endeavors. In this advanced unit, students will be challenged to expand their understanding of what drawing can be through experimentation with the processes of a discipline or disciplines of their choice such as painting, sculpture, printmaking, glass, filmmaking or photography.

Seminars are further developed through structured workshops and demonstrations. Artworks are critically informed through consultation with the lecturer and group studio critiques.
