This major is designed for students with a strong interest in the living world. Students study cellular and molecular biology, genetics, physiology, ecology and evolution, with an emphasis on the diversity and interactions of organisms with their environments. Those seeking employment in the resources or environmental management sectors could consider combining this major with Environmental Management, Conservation Biology, Marine and Freshwater Science, or Occupational Safety and Health. Biological Sciences pairs well with Applied Chemistry, Human Biology, Mathematics or Physical Sciences, especially for those interested in becoming secondary science teachers.
