Urban and regional planning employers increasingly require graduates to also have a thorough grounding in business knowledge, environmental management and practical skills. This major equips students with the knowledge, the practical experience and transferable employability skills, including leadership, teamwork, critical thinking, communication and problem-solving, required to function as business professionals and industry participants in contemporary urban and regional planning organisations. Course Exclusion: This major cannot be studied under the Bachelor of Planning or Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning courses.

Students are required to attend a private practice or government department for three days.
