This major provides students with a unique opportunity to gain valuable knowledge in the criminal justice system, with a focus on offender management. It develops students' interpersonal and leadership skills, while building a comprehensive understanding of the theories of offender management and motivational change. Students will develop an appreciation for the complex issues surrounding offender management and how they can work within an environment that seeks to reduce recidivism. The major is relevant to students with an interest in criminology and justice, but also has a wider appeal to social work, psychology, security and other students in the humanities discipline.
