This unit set allows candidates entering the Engineering double degree courses (Engineering/Commerce, Engineering/Science, Engineering/Laws) to select a Petroleum Engineering area of specialisation and provides all of the core knowledge required to achieve an accredited double degree qualification in this field. This unit set provides the foundations for a professional engineering career in the oil and gas industry, both in Australia and internationally. The unit set focuses on the development of knowledge and skills relevant to professional engineering practice and, along with a sound theoretical base, includes strong elements of practical problem solving, team work and project development. As a result, as well as having multiple technical and transferable skill competencies, graduates will have strong analytical skills and the ability to lead complex projects.
This unit set information may be updated and amended immediately prior to semester. To ensure you have the correct outline, please check it again at the beginning of semester. In particular please check the unit and unit set offerings, as these differ according to course delivery location.
