Conservation Biology Major

Effective from 01-JAN-2024 : Code MAAALF

Conservation biology is the study of biodiversity with the goal of devising management strategies to preserve both plant and animal species and their biological communities. This major focuses on the knowledge and skills required to understand the significance of biodiversity and why it is in decline worldwide. Students develop the ability to analyse complex interplays between humans and the natural world, and devise approaches to tackle important conservation issues.
