In this major students will develop an expert background in journalism and media. It provides an opportunity to work in state of the art radio and TV studios and gain knowledge of the latest in online media production and reporting skills. Students further enrich their knowledge, developing research and analytical skills for an ever-changing media landscape. With its focus on local, national and global understandings it provides journalism with a leading edge in the field, developing both a sound cultural knowledge and excellent communication expertise. There is a focus on student employability and what employers want, such as effective writers and speakers, team players and problem solvers. These abilities are transferable across a wide range of media and communication jobs.
