Mathematics Education Major

Effective from 01-JAN-2017 : Code MABUTL

This major equips students with the skills and knowledge to teach Years 7 to 12 Mathematics. Emphasis is given to inquiry-based tasks, co-operative group work and whole class discussions, to ensure effective learning and teaching practices in secondary Mathematics.

All applicants are required to demonstrate satisfactory performance in Year 12 ATAR Mathematics Methods , with equivalents considered. It is desirable that all applicants demonstrate satisfactory performance in Year 12 ATAR Mathematics Specialist , with equivalents considered.
