This minor is designed for those who wish to teach instrumental music to individuals, small groups and classes in primary and secondary schools. Students complete units in instrumental music pedagogy and primary school music education. They also have the opportunity to select a range of elective units offered by WAAPA relevant to their future work as school music educators. Note: This minor is only available to students studying the Music major.

Students are required to complete 60 credit points worth of Minor Content Study units and 30 credit points worth of Curriculum Minor units. Content units educate students in the subject area and the Curriculum units explain how to teach the subject area to others.
