Mathematics Education Minor

Effective from 01-JAN-2016 : Code MIAAGW

This minor covers basic concepts and techniques of algebra and functions, trigonometry, problem-solving and analysis, statistics such as organising numerical data estimation and hypothesis testing, and mathematical modelling using differential and integral calculus and analytic geometry. Students will be able to plan and support a variety of mathematics lessons, assessments and activities, up to and including Year 10 level.

Special Admission Requirements

All applicants are required to have passed either WACE General Mathematics 2C/2D or 3A/3B to do this minor. It is desirable that all applicants have a satisfactory result in WACE 3C/3D.
