Music Education Minor

Effective from 01-JAN-2025 : Code MIAAGY

This minor is offered in conjunction with the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and prepares students with skills to teach both classroom and instrumental music. Students can engage in studies across a variety of music styles and genres, with emphasis on developing effective skills for music teaching.

Students are required to complete 60 credit points of Minor Content Study units and 30 credit points of Curriculum Minor units. Content units educate the student in the subject area and the Curriculum units explain how to teach the subject area to others.
