Horticulture science focuses on improving plant propagation, growth, yields, nutritional value, quality of fruits, vegetables and flowers, and mitigating biotic and abiotic stresses. Minimising losses in production and supply chain to ensure the provision of high-quality horticultural fresh produce to consumers will also be addressed. This minor provides students with an introduction to some of the key areas of horticulture.
