Nursing and Midwifery PhD Unit Set

Research within the Centre for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Services Research at ECU concentrates on health promotion, health maintenance and disease prevention across the life span. Our research programs are developed with the vision to positively impact on health and well-being. Specific postgraduate research topics are developed in conjunction with the Associate Dean Research or potential supervisor, however applications are particularly encouraged from those with an interest in: Safety and Quality of Healthcare - Workforce (policy, planning and delivery, and mediators of healthcare system outcomes). - Patient, organisational and economic outcomes. - Evaluation of clinical practice changes and enhancements. Improving Outcomes for Adults with Chronic Health Conditions - Innovative care delivery and person centered outcomes. - Self-management, families, palliative care, eHealth & mental health, and clinical discovery. Childbearing, Children and Young People Research - Advancing local, national and international practice in midwifery, and children and young people. - Discovering and implementing ways to improve the care and experience of childbearing women and their families through pregnancy, postpartum, up to the age of 18 years.
