Occupational Therapy research at ECU concentrates on contributing to the knowledge base about occupation, health and well-being across the lifespan and to the evidence base for occupational therapy practice. Specific postgraduate research topics are developed in conjunction with the postgraduate coordinator or potential supervisor, however applications are particularly encouraged from those with an interest in: Participation in community life for health and well-being across the lifespan Understanding the client perspective on occupational engagement or occupational therapy service provision Building inclusive community Developing and sustaining competence for practice Researchers in the school are currently involved in projects investigating Community mobility Dignity of risk in occupational engagement School inclusion Evidence for practice with clients experiencing chronic pain, developmental coordination disorder, living with terminal conditions, dementia, acquired brain injury, severe and enduring mental health issues Use of simulation in teaching and learning
