Counselling research at ECU tends to be psychotherapy focussed. The approach is generally psychoanalytic/relational in its nature. Specific postgraduate research topics are developed in conjunction with the postgraduate coordinator or potential supervisor, however applications are particularly encouraged from those with an interest in: Clinical (psychology) issues Psychoanalytically-informed topics Gender and Sexuality Life online Researchers in the school are currently involved in projects investigating gender and sexuality, and psychoanalytically informed teaching and learning.
