This specialisation prepares students to take on the challenges of teaching home economics in a range of subject areas across Years 7 to 10. Students receive specialised instruction in both the theory and practical components of units related to nutrition, hospitality, and textiles in preparation for teaching in lower secondary classes. The content covers school curricula, teaching strategies and the development and assessment of teaching programs.
