Creativity in Early Childhood Specialisation

This specialisation explores ways of engaging, scaffolding and assessing children's creative expression through the arts and STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Pre- service teachers will develop professional skills to plan, implement and assess learning programs that challenge children to expand their reasoning, imagination and understanding of the world. In addition you will investigate ways of developing engaging and stimulating environments through the creative use of space and resources that foster curiosity and exploration. A number of strategies for enhancing children's creativity, thinking and problem-solving skills will be investigated across a range of early childhood settings.
