This specialisation builds on previous learning and explores the role of the Science learning area as the centre of an integrated teaching approach. While developing capacity to provide leadership in Science teaching, students will plan, facilitate, and evaluate children's use of scientific knowledge and inquiry skills. Students will also have the opportunity to develop an inquiry project focused on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education in primary schools. Particular focus is given to developing additional depth of understanding of expert content knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge and highly effective classroom teaching in Science.
