The specialisation in Design and Technology Secondary Education is for current teachers who wish to work in this learning area. The advanced coursework provides the theoretical and practical knowledge needed to create engaging teaching and learning units for secondary students in Years 7-10. Engaging in this coursework, students will gain the knowledge and skills for Design and Technology education and develop their ability to provide engaging and authentic practice in workshop educational settings.

On Campus at Mount Lawley
DTM6501, DTM6502 and DTM6503 will be offered intensively over a two-week period during the West Australian school holidays in order for current teachers to attend classes. TEF6600 is only available in Semester 1.

Graduates will be qualified to teach Design and Technology in a Secondary school setting to Years 7-10.
