This specialisation is structured to provide training in the principles, techniques and processes required in designing for theatre and film. After initial exposure to basic visualisation and research skills, students are confronted, as a learning experience, with challenging design projects including sets, props and costumes. These projects precede practical design involvement in WAAPA productions and professional placement. Students also attend classes in drawing, technical drawing and computer-aided design.
This unit set information may be updated and amended immediately prior to semester. To ensure you have the correct outline, please check it again at the beginning of semester. In particular please check the unit and unit set offerings, as these differ according to course delivery location.
