Performance VET Specialisation

Effective from 01-JAN-2019 : Code VSAAAS

The Classical, Jazz and Contemporary Performance streams are designed for students wishing to develop their instrumental or vocal performance skills in their chosen area. Students are offered a weekly suite of classes central to their studies, these include aural, theory, instrumental workshop, concert practice, ensemble and music history. On successful completion, students are encouraged to apply and audition for the L66 Bachelor of Music. The Contemporary Music Artist stream focuses on creative original music, song writing, performance preparation and collaboration. Students work on individual and group creativity, where performances are not limited to their primary instrument. Original music, both solo and collaborative, is combined with stagecraft skills in performance studies. On successful completion, students are encouraged to apply and audition for the C61 Advanced Diploma of Music Industry.
