Future students
Phone enquiries and live chat
Please note we will be closed for phone enquiries and live chat from 5:00pm on Monday, 23 December 2024, returning to normal operating hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm weekdays from Thursday, 2 January 2025. You can submit a domestic student or international student enquiry form online during this time and we will get back to you when we reopen in January.
On-campus enquiries
The Future Student Engagements office at Joondalup, Mount Lawley and South West Campuses will be closed from 4:00pm on Friday, 20 December 2024. Joondalup and South West Campus will be returning to normal business hours from Thursday, 2 January 2025 and Mount Lawley Campus from Monday, 6 January 2025. You can submit a domestic student or international student enquiry form online during this time and we will get back to you when we reopen in January.
At all other times if you wish to contact our friendly Future Student Enquiries team you can get in touch via phone on 134 328, social media, live chat or submit a domestic student or international student enquiries form online.

For general and course specific walk-in enquiries
The Student Hub at Joondalup and Mount Lawley campuses will be closed at 4:30pm on Friday, 20 December 2024 and will reopen on Monday, 6 January 2025, returning to normal business hours of 9:00am to 4:30pm weekdays.
The Student Hub at the South West Campus will be closed at 4:00pm on Friday, 20 December 2024 and will reopen on Monday, 6 January 2025, returning to normal business hours of 9:00am to 4:00pm weekdays.
Student health and wellbeing services
ECU Health Service, Psychological Counselling Support and Access and Inclusion close at 4:30pm on Friday, 20 December 2024 and will reopen at 8:30am on Monday, 6 January 2025.
ECU Student Success close at 4:30pm on Friday, 20 December 2024 and will reopen at 9:00am on Monday, 6 January 2025.
The Living Room will close at 3:00pm on Friday, 20 December and will reopen at 9:00am on Monday, 13 January 2025.
ECU Out of Hours Crisis Line remains available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the holiday period. Phone 1300 583 032 or Text 0488 884 232.

ECU Library Services
Campus Libraries are staffed from 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday to Friday during semester break, with the following exceptions:
- South West Campus Library opens at 8:30am on weekdays (metro campuses at 8:00am)
- Campus Libraries will be closed Monday 23 December 2024 – Friday 3 January 2025
- Joondalup Campus Library remains open 24/7 with ECU swipe card access (Lower Level 1 and parts of Level 2)
- Access to online Library collections is available at all times
eLabs
Joondalup and Mount Lawley eLabs are accessible 24/7 during the holiday period for anyone with an access card.
The South West eLab won’t be accessible during this holiday closure period.
Graduating students
The Corporate Events Office will be closed at 4:30pm on Friday, 20 December 2024 and will reopen at 9:00am on Monday, 6 January 2025.
For all graduation-related queries during the closure period, please email the Corporate Events Office atgraduations@ecu.edu.au, your email will be registered and we will respond on Monday, 6 January 2025.
Graduation registration closes at midnight (12:00am) on Sunday, 12 January 2025. Late registrations will not be accepted.
Food, beverage and retail outlets
Campus food, beverage and retail outlets will be closed from Saturday, 21 December 2024 to Sunday, 5 January 2025 inclusive.
Most outlets are operating on amended trading hours throughout the period of November 2024 to February 2025. Please visit the Digital and Campus Services Knowledge Base for more information.
Security
Security officers will continue to be on 24-hour duty on campus and can be contacted on (08) 6304 3333 (extension 3333 for internal calls). The maintenance help desk will be operational on extension 5554 throughout the break.
Security can also be contacted at any time through the ECU safety app, Nowforce.
Only staff and students with approved swipe card access will be able to enter university buildings from 5:00pm on Friday, 20 December 2024 until 8:30am on Monday, 6 January 2025.
While staff can use swipe card to access during the break, please contact Security to advise them of your presence.
IT Service Desk
The IT Service Desk will be closed from 5:00pm on Monday, 23 December 2024 and will reopen at 8.00am on Monday, 6 January 2025 and resume normal business hours.
Limited IT support will be available via email during this closure, responses will be delayed.
This closure is in line with the ECU Limited-Services Period.
Password Self Reset will remain available during the Limited-Services Period.
