Accomplished local professional Kristy Gillian has been appointed as the Strategic Initiatives Manager at Edith Cowan University South West.
ECU Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Regional Futures) Professor Cobie Rudd said she was delighted to appoint Ms Gillian, who comes with extensive experience, having recently been the CEO of the Bunbury Geographe Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Ms Gillian has held roles in stakeholder management, business development, marketing, and operations across a range of industries, which, along with her education in commerce, marketing and management, has seen her amass more than 20 years of relevant experience.
"Kristy brings strategic insight and a drive to make a difference in the region, which makes her a perfect fit for our dynamic team at ECU South West," said Professor Rudd.
"Her leadership of local and industry initiatives has been instrumental in addressing skills shortages and she understands that advancements in innovation and technology are changing the jobs and skills landscape in the South West."

She has created wining partnerships built on mutual understanding, trust and results – which again makes her a great fit for our ECU community.
Ms Gillian said she is excited to join the team to represent ECU with key stakeholders across government, industry and education providers and deliver projects and initiatives which build the capacity and success of ECU in the region.
