Whether they're joining us in person or online, Orientation is the chance to discover the support services, facilities and key information needed to thrive at university.

Make the most of O Week
Orientation is more than just an introduction—it's the first step in shaping student’' university experience. We encourage all students to explore the program, book their sessions, and take advantage of everything on offer and hear about What's so good about O Week?

Some of the key events include:
- Get Set for ECU – Official introduction to university life at ECU. It's a high-energy, fun, and informative session designed to set students up for success. Plus, there are exciting prizes up for grabs.
- Course Induction Sessions – Detailed information on course requirements, book lists, important dates, and unit advice. These sessions are essential for understanding what’s expected, meeting lecturers and fellow students.
- International Student Welcome – A must-attend event for new international students, covering everything from adjusting to Australian culture and student visa conditions to tips on staying safe and navigating life in Perth.
- Social Events & Campus Tours – Events hosted by the ECU and the Student Guild to help students settle in and start building their university networks.
Accessibility and Lowered Sensory events
ECU is committed to making Orientation an inclusive experience for all students. We offer Lowered Sensory events designed for neurodivergent students and those with broader accessibility needs, allowing them to engage with content at their own pace.
