Edith Cowan University (ECU) is proud to commemorate a 10-year partnership with the New Colombo Plan (NCP) program.

Since 2014, the NCP program has provided Australian undergraduate students with the opportunity to undertake overseas study and internship programs across the Indo-Pacific region.

The NCP program encourages a two-way flow of students and knowledge between Australia and the Indo-Pacific region, allowing students to gain overseas knowledge, build ties and develop lasting networks across the region.

The archipelago continues to be one of the most popular destinations for students, with more than 12,000 Australian students having studied and undertaken internships in Indonesia.

Australia’s Consul-General in Bali, Jo Stevens said, "People-to-people links are at the heart of the Australia-Indonesia relationship. For 10 years, New Colombo Plan students have come here to study and gain work experience, leaving with deep friendships and a new understanding of one of our closest neighbours."

Over 220 ECU undergraduate students, many supported by the NCP Mobility Program, have undertaken two-week placements at Prof. dr. I.G.N.G Ngoerah Hospital over the past 10 years, facilitating skill-sharing and cross-cultural understanding.

"We are very proud to collaborate with Edith Cowan University in Australia… We are very open to discussing and exchanging knowledge and experience in the medical field," said Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Ketut Sukadarma, Executive Director of Operational Services, who delivered a speech from the CEO of Prof. dr.
