ECU holds strong in world university rankings

ECU has retained its covetable position as one of the top 400 universities in the world in the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

Edith Cowan University (ECU) has retained its covetable position as one of the top 400 universities in the world.

This is the second consecutive year the University has held its ranking in the 2024 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, which highlights ECU's dedication to teaching, research and international outlook.

The 2024 Rankings included 1,904 universities across 108 countries and regions.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings lists the top universities in the world based on their performance in teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.

It is the only global university league table to judge research-intensive universities across all their core missions:

  • Teaching (the learning environment)
  • Research (volume, income and reputation)
  • Citations (research influence)
  • Industry income (knowledge transfer)
  • International outlook (staff, students and research).

It uses 18 carefully calibrated performance indicators to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons.

This ranking further demonstrates ECU's quality and performance and adds to our list of international achievements including ranking in the top 100 Young Universities in the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings.
