A day in the uni life of Soumi the Cyber Hero

Soumita Kale is a cyber security student who never sits still. When she's not studying, she's volunteering to run workshops about coding for high school girls or explaining cyber safety to kids.

In other words, she's an inspiration.

Soumi's advice to new computer science, IT or cybersecurity students at ECU is to take advantage of the heaps of opportunities available to you.

Go to networking events and meet industry people, volunteer to help with workshops run by the School of Science, do a WIL placement or apply for an internship as part of your course.

You won't regret it.

Anyway, enough of us…meet Soumi for yourself in this short video.

See yourself as a cybercrime buster?

If you think you could hack a career in Soumi's world, why not check out some of ECU's Cyber Security courses?
