At ECU, we're always looking to help our students maximise their employment opportunities after they graduate.

We do this through building employability skills into our teaching and supporting internships in our course structures.

Most importantly, we do it through fostering mutually beneficial partnerships with both large and small organisations.

So how could your business benefit from a partnership with us?

Here are some examples.

  • You'll have access to motivated, enthusiastic students with new ideas.
  • You'll have students who can complete existing or commence new projects.
  • You can develop your staff through mentoring, coaching and engagement with our students.
  • You can trial prospective employees, i.e., our students, over a significant timeframe.
  • You can meet your future workforce planning needs with early talent identification and attraction.
  • You can raise your organisation's profile with students, graduates and the wider community.

How can your business work with us?

We offer a variety of options to connect organisations with our diverse and talented student community.

These include:

  • guest lectures to students by your expert representatives
  • projects suggested by you being completed by students on-campus
  • volunteering opportunities within your organisation or in the community
  • short-term work placements at your business
  • embedded placements or internships, like our partnership with IBM

The ECU-IBM partnership

This partnership gives ECU undergraduate and postgraduate students an opportunity to complete a paid internship during their studies and a possible employment offer when they graduate.

The internship is offered to students who are already building the skills critical to WA's economic future.

This includes user experience designers, software engineers, data scientists, mobile application developers and project managers.

Want to discuss a potential partnership?
