Master of Business Administration International

This Masters by coursework is designed to develop and educate highly skilled global managers and leaders who can contribute to organisations in an effective and responsible manner. In a globally competitive environment, it is essential to build organisational capability by creating a climate and culture conducive to innovation and advancement. This course provides students with the ability to respond to challenging situations in complex and modern organisations. It also builds and further develops problem-solving skills, and effective interpersonal and relationship management skills.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Apply critical thinking and technical skills to solve authentic business problems.
  2. Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills appropriate to cultural contexts.
  3. Demonstrate mastery of a global body of discipline knowledge and practice, including knowledge of research principles and methods.
  4. Independently initiate, plan and execute a substantial project to meet agreed deliverables.
  5. Justify decisions and judgements that address a complex business issue considering the ethical and social consequences.

Admission requirements

Admission requirement (Band 6)

  • Bachelor degree; or
  • Equivalent prior learning including at least five years relevant professional experience.

English Language requirement (Band 4)

English competency requirements may be satisfied through completion of one of the following:

  • IELTS Academic Overall band minimum score of 6.5 (no individual band less than 6.0);
  • Bachelor degree from a country specified in the Admissions Policy;
  • Successfully completed 0.375 EFTSL of study at postgraduate level or higher at an Australian higher education provider (or equivalent);
  • Where accepted, equivalent prior learning, including at least five years relevant professional experience; or
  • Other tests, courses or programs as defined in the Admissions Policy.

Course Specific Admission Requirements

All applicants are required to meet the published entry requirements. Successful applicants with a Graduate Certificate qualification or higher in Business/Commerce may seek reduced course duration by applying for recognition of prior learning.
